Bitten: A TV Series Review

Have you read the first book in the Women of the Otherworld Series, Bitten? It’s by a talented writer and story-teller, Kelly Armstrong. Well, I heard a rumor a little while back about a  movie or tv  movie or some such thing about one of Kelly Armstrong’s books. Turns out its true! Over the weekend the author herself posted about it starting Monday here in the US. I patiently waited and what the what what!?!  The new TV series Bitten premiered tonight. Yup and I just finished watching this awesome show.  It is not exactly like the book but it follows close enough in the first episode. Not only was the show really, really good, but I just witnessed my favorite shift from human to wolf EVER!  I loved it!  FOUR PAWS for this fab new series on the SYFY channel.

P.S.

If you have not read this book, go read it!

If you have not seen this new tv series, go watch it!

Review: Crossed by Ally Condie

Crossed by Ally Condie, is the second book out of the Matched trilogy.  Uniquely written with a beautiful background.  Cassia’s demeanor has thawed and her passion flows.  In the first book in the series, Matched, Cassia seemed more robotic. Without passion and fire. In Crossed, I can see the fire burning through her and extending to each of the characters  around her.  I can see her mind waking up and really understand what is right in front of her.  The interactions between Cassia and the other characters  have grown intense. Learning about life in the outer providence Cassia looks for Ky as he is finding his way back to her. Their journey towards each other  was daring, thrilling and full of clues to the past, present and future.

Review: Daylighters by Rachel Caine

It’s no secret. I LOVE the Morganville Vampire series!  Not only is it excellent writing but the story, the set up, the whole crisscross of character interactions is amazing.  I just read Daylighters, the final book in the series.  I’m going to be honest with my review as always though. I wanted to read this book so very bad! I could not wait. Then when I got the book I did NOT want to open it to read it.  I mean come on, its the last book with Claire and Shane! Iv seen Claire grow so much! Iv seen Shane grow. I have even seen Myrnin, Oliver and even  Amalie evolve through out this series. And……now its going to end? Ugh. Its so bitter sweet. I finally cracked the book open and read through the first chapter. That led to the end of the book.  Yeah I read the whole thing and yeah, it was another amazing read from Rachel Caine. It was also not my favorite ending.  The story was another great one, the web that was weaved, was tangled in a great way. I felt like the web fell short towards the end though. A little rushed. It was still very  good. The characters living on in our imaginations.  I will always leave a spot for the Morganville residents at the top of my Favorites Book Series List!   I wont give a spoiler. If you have not read it, you  most certainly should. Like now. GO!

Matched by Ally Condie

A dystopian series by Ally Condie, Matched served up a hint of suspense with its story.   From the  love triangle of Cassia, Ky and Xander to the  Society and the rules, this book was engaging and hard to put down. In the beginning the voice of the main character Cassia, felt robotic and unemotional.  Going  through her day to day life with minimal thought into straying from the norm, I saw some small eye openings and with that, emotions. Emotions that finally started the process of questioning.  Cassia has been given a few hints from more than one person in her life. Clues to what life used to be and what could be once again. Im excited to read the next book in the series Crossed!
